Eily’s Report – 25th April

Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to my weekly report.

The fine weather continues to bring out the best in all of  us. The children returning to school after the Easter holidays cant say but that they were not able to enjoy the great out of doors for two weeks.

And while those involved in the land are working long hours to get the spring work done, householders are forging ahead with painting their places and doing up their gardens.

The Tidy Towns efforts on Saturday were very well supported.  Again the fine weather encouraged the crowds to come out and take part in the first big clean-up of the season which is sponsored by Avonmore Electrical, Okeeffe’s SuperValu and Cork Co. Council. From now on we are all urged to keep up the good work. Paint and clean and weed and dig, do whatever is needed for us to gain those last few extra points in this years National Contest.
