Death Notice: Kitty Cooney, Rathcoole

The death has occurred of Kitty (Catherine) COONEY (née Madden), Moynihans Terrace, Rathcoole, Cork / Moydow, Longford. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family and in the excellent compassionate care of the staff at Marymount Hospice. Dovoted mother of Catherine, Helena, Caroline, Mike, and Sinead, wife of Noel. Proud grandmother, loving sister to Carmel, Cella, Jimmy, John, Norah and Cyril. Sadly missed by her mother-in-law Kate, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sons-in-law, nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.
Reposing in Tarrant’s Funeral Home, Millstreet, on Sunday from 6pm followed by Removal at 8pm to St John’s Church, Dromagh. Requiem Mass on Monday at 12 noon burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Millstreet. Flowers, or if desired donations, to Marymount Hospice.

At a superb function in the Royal Hotel, Killarney on Friday night (21st Oct. 2016) four wonderfully dedicated Committee Members of Millstreet Parish Credit Union were made presentations by MC supreme Joseph Lawler (holding the official cake).
