Bric-a-Brac

Have you lamps, teacups, plates, mugs, vases, porcelain figurines, photo frames, or odd little bits and pieces lying around the house that you want to get rid of? Why not give them to us? This summer, we are teaching the children in Drishane Castle how to recycle, repaint or remake household objects. If you have this kind of small bric-a- brac and you want rid of it, we would gladly take it. We plan to sell the recycled products to raise money for our School Book Fund.

The Bug Fest is on July 10th

dragonflies_rszMillstreet Country Park‘s Bug Fest 2016 is taking place from 2 – 5pm on Sunday the 10th of July!

It’s great fun for all the family with loads of fantastic activities like Bug Hunts, Pond Dipping, looking at a freshwater tank full of pond life and Bug Arts and Crafts.

There will also be showings of ‘Minuscule’ the movie. A charming award winning movie about insects and their tiny world.

After all of this adventuring you can kick back and relax in the visitor centre cafe, get an ice cream and maybe a venison burger from our BBQ (weather dependent of course).
