Sr.Marie LinehanSister Marie Linehan (Formerly Sister Marie Urban) April 22, 1931 to April 19, 2016 Sister Marie dedicated her life to others; living a committed life as a Sister of St. Francis for 65 years. She died at St. Ann Convent on April 19th, 2016, just three days before her 85th birthday. She was dedicated to each person she met in her ministries. This included children in orphanages, children as students, adults in hospitals, hospice patients in their homes and nursing homes. Her final commitment was prayer ministry at St. Ann Convent. These ministries were located in Portland and Klamath Falls, Oregon as well as in Spokane and Tacoma in Washington. Sr. Maria was born in Doon, Kiskeam, County Cork, Ireland. Death Notice: Richie McAuliffe, Umeraboy

The unexpected death has occurred at Millstreet Community Hospital on 3rd May, 2016 of Richard McAuliffe, Umeraboy, Knocknagree, Cork. Richard (Richie), dear husband of the late Kathleen (nee O’Connor) Loving father of Mary and much adored granddad of Caitlin. Deeply mourned by his daughter, granddaughter, relatives, neighbours and many friends. May he rest in Peace.

Reposing at O’Leary Funeral Parlour, Knocknagree on Thursday from 6pm to 8pm followed by removal to Christ the King Church, Knocknagree. Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to Millstreet Community Hospital.

Very Successful Disabled Drivers’ Association Collection

The Coordinators of the recent church gate collection in Millstreet Parish in aid of the Disabled Drivers’ Association wish to express sincere thanks for the excellent amount collected of €1,258.24 plus an extra €60.00 from the various collection boxes in the shops.  We thank Mary and also Sheila O’Donoghue (Hon.
