Organisers of Carriganima St Patricks Day Parade want to say Thanks to Everyone who made it a Great Success

Sean and Matt of The Pub in Carriganima wish to thank Everyone who Supported and Helped in anyway with the St Patricks Day Parade held in Carriganima on Sunday, in Particular they would like to thank all the People who participated in the Parade with Floats, Vehicles Etc, to John Paul O`Shea Mayor of Cork County for being the Grand Marshal for the Day, the Cullen Pipe Band for Leading the Parade, An Garda Siochana for there help, to the huge turnout of people that came to watch thanks for supporting the event, and finally to anyone we may have forgotten to mention here who might have helped out in any way, we thank you very much, the Event was an outstanding Success which was also helped by superb Sunshine on the Day, we look forward to seeing ye all again for the 2017 Parade.

Death Notice: Fiona Dineen, late of ALPS

DINEEN (Glencaun, Grenagh and formerly of Kilbrittain, Co. Cork): On March 21, 2016, peacefully after a long illness bravely borne in the tender loving care of the staff of Marymount University Hospital and Hospice, FIONA (née Curran), (late of ALPS, Millstreet), dearly beloved wife of Tomás, adored mother of Conor and Paul and much loved sister of Ann, John, Tony, Peter, Angela, Jennifer, Eileen, Adrian, Jerry and Edward. Sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, brothers, sisters, mother-in-law Rita, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, work colleagues, relatives neighbours and friends.

Reposing from 5pm on Tuesday in St. Lachteen’s Church, Grenagh followed by prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass at 2pm on Wednesday. Funeral afterwards to St. Lachteen’s Cemetery, Grenagh. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Marymount Hospice. May she rest in peace.

Death Notice: Betty Kelly, Ploverfield

KELLY (Ploverfield, Cullen and late of New York): On March 19, 2016, BETTY (ELIZABETH nee Kelleher), unexpectedly, but peacefully, at the Mercy University Hospital, Cork, beloved wife of the late Connie Snr and dear mother of John, Pat, Denis, Kevin, Danny, Brian, Gene, Kieran and the late Connie Jnr, sister of Gene and Connie (New York). Deeply regretted by her loving sons, daughters-in-law, her many grandchildren, brothers, sisters-in-law, nephews, grandnephews and grandnieces, and many friends.

Reposing on this Monday evening in the Church of the Nativity, Cullen from 6pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass on tomorrow, Tuesday, at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. (details)
