Millstreet GAA Sports Predictor 2016

Millstreet GAA are running a competition where you pick the results for major national and international sports competitions of 2016. Whoever predicts the most winners will win the prizes later in the year.

Entry sheets are available from club members and players and also from the following places in Millstreet: Colemans Millstreet Parts Stores / O’Learys Family Butchers / Corkerys Bar / Tarrants Bar / The Bush Bar. Closing date for entries is Friday week the 26th of February.

Sharon getting ready for the Cork Big Heart Fight Night

2016-02-09 Sharon O'Keeffe (right) training for the Big Heart Fight Night, under the watchful eye of Dan Lane, RylaneThe best of luck to Sharon O’Keeffe who is taking part in the Cork Big Heart Fight Night-  a fundraising white collar boxing challenge for the Irish Heart Foundation.

The boxers are made up of big-hearted women and men who have volunteered to take part in the high adrenalin sport of boxing in a safe, comfortable environment. For the past 8-weeks they have been learning the basics of boxing while getting super fit and are now ready to step into the ring for the ultimate challenge (Sharon is pictured on the right above, training for the fight, under the watchful eye of Dan Lane of Rylane Boxing Club)

It’s taking place on Saturday, 5 March 2016 at 7pm in the Rochestown Park Hotel, Cork, and you can get your tickets for the night here, before they’re all sold out.

Young Visitors to Millstreet Museum Display Such Sincere Enthusiasm
