Millstreet Wecomes 2016 in grand style! The three images (full features later) illustrate the wonderfully energetic spirit of the cheerful Millstreet people. Above we view Millstreet Pipe Band following an uplifting recital last night at The Square. Below we see members of Millstreet Community Singers about to herald in the New Year at the very welcoming McCarthy's Bar at The Square. Death Notice: Joan Tarrant, Kilcorney

Tarrant, (Kilcorney), on December 31st, 2015. Peacefully, in the excellent care of the Director of Care, doctors, nurses and staff of Kanturk Community Hospital and Mallow General Hospital; Joan (nee O’Donoghue), South Horsemount, beloved wife of the late Danial, dear mother of Eddie and Mary (Ahern, Ballynoe) and sister of the late Nora (McCarthy). Deeply regretted by her loving son, daughter, grandchildren Laura, Donal and Grace, son-in-law Paddy, nephew, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing in McCarthy’s Funeral Home, Banteer. Rosary on Friday evening at 9pm. Reposing Saturday evening from 5pm followed by removal at 7pm to St. Fursey’s Church, Banteer. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Kilcorney Cemetery. May She Rest In Peace.
