With Christmas as its central theme tonight "Radio Treasures" is scheduled to be broadcast live from The Pub in Carriganima tonight (Tues. 15th Dec. 2015) from 9.30 to 11.00. Eily’s update 15th December

Dia Is Mhuire diobh go leir a cairde, and welcome.

The days are wearing down, only about ten days to go. Little children will be glad, and not just because of Santa but they are weary from being good. As for the parents, well they’ll have no more leverage once Santy has arrived.

The shopping craze goes on,  in spite of the elements the crowds are out.

Our local branch of St. V de Paul held their annual church door collection at the weekend and it was very well supported.

Our Community Council held their meeting  on Tuesday night at the Wallis Arms Hotel. Pat Murphy, in his report, said that up to 130 people registered for the Text Alert Scheme.   Road Signs are to be erected at various places in the district.

The popular Garda Pat Roche retired recently and Noel Buckley thanked him for his many years of service  and wished him well for the future on behalf on our community.
