Eily’s Report Extra

All going well, work will begin on the construction of the Bridge across the Blackwater at Dooneen on tomorrow Thursday October 8th.

When completed, this welcome development will be one of the last pieces in the gig-saw that makes up  the historic  Beara/Brefni Way. which dates back to 1604. Long years of negotiations have gone into bringing this  development to fruition.

And all thanks goes to the land-owners who have given their lands  free of charge so that the project could go ahead. On the South side the thanks goes to Michael and Marian O Sullivan and the North side, Francis and Eileen O Riordan. We wish the development every success.

James Cronin, Knocknakilla, who is a Transition year student at our Community School, will give a talk at all masses at the weekend on his trip to India, with the Hope Foundation in March 2016.
