“On Thursday 6th of August I will be taking part in the Tour de Munster charity cycle which starts in Waterford and takes in the 6 counties in Munster over 4 days and 600+km, finishing in cork city up Patrick’s Hill (cant wait for that). This is in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland and I hope people can give a couple of € for this great organisation. Please feel free to visit mychrity.ie to donate or click on the make a donation.”

Death Notice: Denis Healy, Tullig Cross, Millstreet

2015-08-01 Denis Healy RIPThe death has occurred of Denis HEALY, Tullig Cross, Millstreet. Peacefully in the presence of his loving family at Cork University Hospital. Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Mulcahy) and adored dad to Miriam and Liam, brother to Patjo, Donie and the late Joan, Nora and Kathleen. Sadly missed by his wife, children, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours and many close friends. May the angels of God be with him, and may he rest in peace.

Reposing in Tarrant’s Funeral Home, Millstreet on Sunday from 6.00pm to 8.00pm followed by removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet. Requiem Mass Monday at 12 noon and burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Millstreet.

Death Notice: Bridie Singleton, Ovens & Gneeveguilla

The death has occurred of Bridie SINGLETON (née O’Sullivan), Kilnaglory, Ovens, Cork / Gneeveguilla, Kerry. Beloved wife of Noel and beloved mother of Susan and Laura. Passed away peacefully at Araglen House Nursing Home Boherbue. Deeply missed by her husband and daughters, her brothers and sisters, extended family and friends.
Reposing in Cullen Church on Sunday from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Requiem Mass Monday at 10.00am and burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
Heartfelt thanks and greatest appreciation to all the staff at Araglen House Nursing Home for their wonderful care.
