Dia is Mhuire diobh go leir a Cairde and welcome to News Report 1270 from Millstreet.  Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this lovely warm Tuesday morning.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny paid a flying visit to Millstreet last Friday. It was  unscheduled and apart from  politics, it was very pleasant and informal. Following his public address at the Wallis Arms Hotel he accepted an invitation from his college pal, Sean Radley to see our beautiful newly refurbished Museum at the Carnegie Hall. The pictures on our website clearly shows a fully recovered Sean  proudly showing an interested Enda, the story of Millstreet over the centuries. All of this was at 11 oclock at night. The Taoiseach was also very keen to hear all about Sean’s recent health scare, and successful treatment. Being the same age, he couldn’t be blamed for thinking,”why not me”. Before leaving he met many locals, the pictures are on our Website. Then he boarded  his chauffeur driven car for the long journey home.

Cullen Feis will be held on Sunday next June 21st. Competitions start at 12noon Sports at 2pm and at  3 oclock there will be music and dancing .Special Guest Ann Marie O Riordan.

Don’t miss this great Family day out in Cullen.
