Mark & William Visit Kilcorney N.S. on a Snowy Morning
The sporting talent which exists in abundance in Kilcorney N.S. divides its loyalty between Millstreet and Dromtarriffe. This year the green and gold are walking tall.

Eily Buckley
Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to News Report 1251 from Millstreet. Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this lovely seasonal Tuesday morning.
A Gala Family celebration was held at the Wallis Arms Hotel on Saturday night January 23rd, in Honour of Dr. Pat Casey. For the past 50 years Dr. Pat has been our devoted and dedicated medic, aided in no small way by his lovely wife Nora. As a single man when he came first, he set up his surgery at the Wallis Arms and by sheer coincidence he treated his first patient there on January 23rd fifty years ago. On behalf of our Community I want to congratulate Dr. Pat and Nora, on their wonderful achievement, Say a sincere word of thanks for their great care over all those years. And wish them many many years of health and happiness in the future.
The AGM of our town park was held recently, and as always the committee are set to add even further improvments and new features to this great facility. Work is already in progress at installing the open air GYM , and people of all ages can trim up in the out of doors while out for their walk.
At the monthly meeting of the Community Council which was held last week it was decided to hold their Awards Social on March 6th. There will be six categories and people are invited to nominate people whom they consider to be worthy of a Community Award. Names can be given to Secretary Maura Kiely or to any council member.
A further meeting of the Community Council will be held to-night to continue with plans for the Awards Social.
