Cork): On September 1st, 2014, unexpectedly, to the inexpressible grief of his family and friends, CONNIE (CHICO), beloved son of the late Brendan and Eily Mai and brother of the late Kathleen, much loved brother to Denis, John, Brendan, Patrick, Kevin, James,brother in law to Chris, Liz and Kaitriona, and cherished uncle to Ciara, Eric, Katie and Oisin. Very sadly missed by his family, aunts, uncle, relatives and wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Tarrant’s Funeral Home, Millstreet. Rosary on Wednesday at 9pm. Removal on Thursday from 5pm to 8pm followed by reception into St Patrick’s Church, Millstreet .
Requiem Mass at 12pm on Friday. Burial immediately afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Millstreet.
May He Rest in Peace

Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to News Report 1233 from Millstreet. Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this lovely Tuesday morning.

Our weekend was full of excitement with the launch of the Mighty Cork 20 Car Rally on Friday night. It was centred at the Wallis Arms Hotel, where the official launch took place. And for a second year running the Cork 20 Car Rally will be held in Millstreet on October 3rd to 5th, based at the Green Glens Arena. Details of this year’s route will not be made until shortly before the event.

On Sunday the air was electric when our Junior Football Team captured the Duhallow title, beating Knocknagree. Celebrations went on until late on Sunday night and our heartiest congratulations go out to all involved.

Teachers get wet and cold for MND

Fair play to the 21 students and 10 teachers at Millstreet Community School braved the Ice Bucket Challenge (seen in the video above).
