Bláthnaid for the Cork Rose

The Cork Roses have been out and about the last few weekends where they have been at Cork Racecourse, Curraheen Park, Fota, the Titanic Experience in Cobh, and more. There’s lots of  news and photos to be seen on the Cork Rose Selection facebook page.

Another good performance from Mark

2014-06-08 Front Cover of the Cork v Waterford match programme - #6 Mark EllisMark Ellis had another good game for Cork against Waterford in the Munster Senior Hurling quarter final on Sunday last in Thurles, mopping up lots of loose ball, tackling well and delivering good ball to the forwards.

It was also great to see the Millstreet man on the front cover of the match programme (pictured right).

All Ireland champions Clare are up next Sunday in the semi-final, and undoubtedly Davy Fitzgerald will target Mark’s lack of experience … but we do hope Mark keeps up his good form and solidifies his place at centre back.

Ballydaly man Joe Guerin is launching his first CD “It’s Here You Belong” in The Torc Hotel (formerly Darby O’Gills), Killarney on the 20th of June.

There will be dancing on the night with Danny and Mary O’Leary, Country Roads and of course Joe himself. Full bar on the night. Hope to see ye all there!

Eoin wins Junior Student of the Year

Muniefluich National School – 80th Celebrations

You are cordially invited to the 80th Anniversary Celebration of Muinefliuch N. S. on Sunday 22nd June 2014. The celebration will commence at 1.30 pm with the official opening of the new extension followed with a special mass at 2 pm in the school. You will have the opportunity to meet with old friends and acquaintances and share memories over a cup of tea and light refreshments. Music will also be provided by Jim Murray Senior, Jim Junior and Ger Wolfe. A Muinefliuch N. S. anniversary book will be on sale on the day.
