Eily Buckley

Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to News Report 2012 from Millstreet. Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this lovely Spring Morning.

Last Friday was Daffodil Day and collections were made in aid of  Irish Cancer Society, with outstanding results.

Collectors in the town brought in €3,370, and the Coffee morning at the GAA Hall yielded €845.

The organisers would like to say a sincere word of thanks to all those who support their efforts in any way. And our full admiration goes to the organisers themselves.

And Mother’s Day went on for the whole weekend 🙂

To-day is the First of April and April is full of things to do, the long evenings  giving more daylight hours.

McDonald’s Opening up in Millstreet

In a statement released on their website this morning, McDonald’s say that they’re opening a new outlet in Millstreet in the coming weeks. The statement read:

“We’re excited about the move to Millstreet, and look forward serving the people of North Cork who have had to travel long distances to visit our restaurants in the past”.

This is great news for the town and long suffering local children who won’t have to travel far any more to get their McMeals. McDonald’s plan to open in the Square and further details are on their Irish website: mcdonalds.ie
