Deeply regretted by her sisters Margaret and Eileen Guerin, brothers Cornelius and Timothy, nephews, nieces, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace
Reposing at Tarrant’s Funeral Home, Millstreet on Thursday evening from 6pm. Removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Drishane Cemetery.

Death Notice: Margaret Lawlor, Banteer

LAWLOR (Banteer): On January 14, 2014, peacefully, at CUH, MARGARET (nee O’Connor, Boherbue), in her 92nd year, beloved wife of the late Paddy, Loughlea, and dear mother of Marie (Kelleher, Killarney), Micheál, Peter, Tony, John, Martin, Dominic, Margaret (Murphy, Drangan, Co Tipperary), and the late Donal, Patrick and Jamie. Sadly missed by her loving family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, son- in-law, daughters-in-law, brother, sisters, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at McCarthy’s Funeral Home, Banteer, on this Wednesday evening from 6pm followed by removal at 8pm to St Fursey’s Church, Banteer. Requiem Mass on tomorrow, Thursday, at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Millstreet. May she rest in peace.

‘Rural Hackney Licence’ ideal for community groups

Community groups in isolated areas are being encouraged to start applying for the newly introduced: ‘Local Area Hackney License’ or ‘Rural Hackney’ license.

The licence, which is designed to facilitate low-cost entry into the taxi sector for isolated rural areas, will cost just €70 between the vehicle and drivers’ licence and will be introduced on a pilot basis.

Welcoming the move Áine Collins TD said “This is a welcome move by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport to start to address the transport difficulties that rural communities face.
