Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a Cairde and welcome to News Report 1193 from Millstreet. Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the best on this cold,Tuesday morning with a hint of snow and frost on the ground.

Our new Bishop Ray Browne paid an extended visit to our parish over the weekend. Said Mass in all the churches, including  Dromtarriffe. It was his first trip and people everywhere went to greet and welcome him as our New Bishop of Kerry.

He was very impressed by the beautiful Church that we have here in Millstreet and complimented the people for the way they took on the four million project in the first place. And for the way they continue to pay for it with their weekly contributions. Our Community singers sang at the Vigil Mass and Our Parish Choir attended the 11.30 Mass on Sunday.

Sean Radley was busy with his camera taking pictures of Bishop Browne  and his people, which are the website for all to see.

We climbed to the cross on Clara hill overlooking Millstreet Town
The uphill journey it was [read more …] “A Day on Clara Hill”
