“Clara News” Milestone – February 2013

The most recent edition of  the ever-popular "Clara News" has just been published.  It is the first issue of its 36th year.  Very sadly, as so splendidly expressed by Editor, Denis Reardon, it is the second last issue of what has become such a truly treasured publication of so many Millstreet people at home and abroad for a complete generation and more.   We encourage you to buy your copy of "Clara News" - still only one euro - because this issue and the final issue are bound to become veritable collectors' items.   We especially thank Denis not only for having been such a captain supreme of this hugely important "Ship of Communication" for 35 years but also for his much appreciated recognition of the role of our Millstreet website. Sr.Celestine O'Shea - Presentation SisterThe death has occurred on Tuesday, February 05, 2013 in the wonderful care of the staff of Molan Nursing Home, Killarney, of Sr. Celestine O’Shea of Presentation Convent, Millstreet. Late of Cools, Emlagh More, Ballinskelligs, Co. Kerry, sadly missed by her loving sister Sr. Vincent, nephews, niece, cousins, relatives, many friends and Presentation Sisters. Reposing at Tarrant’s Funeral Home, Millstreet this Thursday evening from 4pm followed by removal at 6pm to St Patrick’s Church, Millstreet. Funeral Mass tomorrow, Friday, at 2.30pm with burial afterwards in the Presentation Cemetery, Millstreet.
