The enthusiastic and brave swimmers who participated in the Annual Boeing Swim today at 12.30 p.m. in the river Blackwater.    This year’s Swim was in aid of the Canon O’Donovan Centre.   Even Ken Stanley’s dog “Buster” enjoyed a great swim.   More pictures to follow later.   The event was recorded for LTV2 by Brendan Murphy and press coverage was by John Tarrant.   Eileen and Richard made the announcements.   (S.R.)

Big Tom McBride Interview on Sky 191 on Tuesday, 8th Jan. 6.00 – 7.30 p.m.

Hot Country Life Stories presented by Michael Commins broadcast on Sky TV 191, Freesat 400 and Free View will have a special programme on Tuesday 8th Jan at 6 – 7.30pm, with a repeat on Sat 12th Jan at the same time, featuring the life story of Ireland’s King Of Country Music Big Tom.
Rose McBride, Tom’s wife also makes an appearance. The recording was made at the home of Rose and Tom.
All Big Tom fans in Ireland and The UK will be delighted to see their hero talking about his life, and how he became famous. The show also features songs which have made him a household name.
Hot Country is now well established as Europe’s number 1 country music TV show, broadcasting 4 times a week since September 2009, Monday and Sunday 8 – 9 pm, Tuesday and Saturday.

The wonderful Christmas spirit at the annual Christmas Party in the Canon O’Donovan Centre.   Just one of the many happy and colourful scenes we’ve recorded over the past month mainly within the Millstreet area.   (S.R.)

Here we share a selection of images illustrating the Christmas atmosphere within our parish.   We also visit Boherbue where two splendid books were launched and we get to view the magnificent St. Mary’s Cathedral in Killarney.   As we come to the end of one of the mildest Christmas weather conditions in years we hope that you will enjoy our brief pictorial review.   And we wish you all the very best throughout a Bright 2013….And what a wonderful start for D.J.
