Here are the results of this week’s parish lotto draw which was here at the Wallis Arms Hotel on Sunday night. Numbers drawn were 2, 9, 16, 29 and the lucky winnner of €10,000 was Virginia Brosnan, Rathduane, the lucky seller was Tommy Tucker and he got €1,000 sellers prize. Greyhounds: Brendan O’Shea’s dog Crossfield Star won his first round race (heat 17) on his way to the Ladbrokes Irish Greyhound Derby 550 (Aug 4th). Slow out of the traps and showed good acceleration, but slowed at bend three before pulling away at the end to win by 2.5 lengths in a time of 29.95. He’ll need to do better as the competition gets stiffer [see the race video below]
