Órla and Laura’s trip to Lourdes

Orla Kiely, Laura Dennehy, their families and Millstreet Community School chaplain John Magee would like to say a big Thank You to everyone in the local community and further a field who helped and supported them in their fundraising efforts to pay for the girls to go to Lourdes as volunteer helpers with The IHCPT Irish Pilgrimage Trust during their Easter Holidays.

Catriona McCarthy’s bitch Slanan Misty won her 525 in Curraheen Park on last Saturday night also in a time of 28.99, escaping consternation at the first bend to have a clear run to the line. Video at the bottom of this article.

Death Notice: Patrick Cashman, Canada

The death has occurred of Patrick Cashman, Stouffville, Ontario, Canada, and formerly of Tullig House, Millstreet. Born January 26, 1929 in Millstreet Ireland. Died May 13, 2012 in Stouffville Ontario with his family at his side at the age of 83 years. Honourary member of Local 95. Loving husband of Lee (Nee Shumilak). Father of Patrick, Brett (Sharon), and Kitty. Grandfather of Chris, Tricia, Michael, Lizzie and the late Brent. Patrick will be sadly missed by his surviving relatives and friends. Brother to the late Denis, Estie, the late Bill, Agnes, the late Fr.Michael, Cecily, Jim, Eileen, Stella and Noreen.
