Such sad tidings from Duhallow the news of the passing of Mister O
A legendary character of Millstreet long ago
Where he was born and raised and with his wife raised their children in the Town by Clara Hill
Sad to think the heart that beat with kindness has been forever rendered still

He was baptized as Anthony Manley Mister O was his nickname
Do not ask me as i do not know how his alias to him came
As a tailor and an undertaker in Duhallow he was well known
And of him it can be truly said that he was one of Millstreet’s own

So many marvellous memories of him one can recall

Rathcoole Rovers 1 Millstreet Celtic 2

We got back to winning ways last night with a hard fought 2-1 win over Rathcoole in Cooney Park. Rathcoole got off to a much better start and controlled the first 10 mins before taking the lead on 15 mins. This seemed to kick start us and we started to create chances for Tadhg Collins and Barry Lawlor. We were level after 25 mins when a clever through ball from Chris Cleary found Lawlor in space and he slotted it past the advancing keeper for 1-1. Just 10 mins later we were 2-1 ahead and it was the same combo again. This time Cleary got in down the right and pulled it back for Lawlor to lash home a volley and give us the lead.
