In 1950 the Holy Year Cross was put in place on Clara Mountain’s summit. It was replaced in 1967 and again in 1984. Therefore the new Cross will be the fourth. With hundreds of people attending, Holy Mass was celebrated on Clara Mountain in 2000 with a very special plaque unveiled on that historic 50th anniversary occasion by the late Tadhg O’Driscoll.
