Wonderful Evening of Storytelling, Music, Song and Chat at Men’s Shed

Enjoying a cuppa at the Men's Shed Centre, Pound Hill, Millstreet on Tuesday, 20th March before the start of a superb evening of great storytelling, music, song and chat open to everyone - men and women. It was such a success that future such enjoyable evenings are envisaged developing hopefully to the establishing of very regular get togethers where music and chat will feature big time. Class Reunion 1976-1981 – A Clearer View of Groups

As promised, we've uploaded higher resolution pictures of the various Tutorial Groups attending last Friday night's splendid Class Reunion celebrations in the Wallis Arms Hotel. Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this lovely Spring morning.

Our St Patrick’s weekend was one of the most successful and the most pleasant ever. The Pipe Band played the priest and alter servers into the church for 11.30am Mass, Canon FitzGerald blessed a bowl of Shamrock and distributed it among the band members. The choir sang their hymns as Gaeilge, and after Mass the pipe band gave a beautiful recital in the Chapel yard in warm sunshine.

The weather was everything that any one could wish for, and in spite of a weather forecast of hail rain and even thunder, the our patron  Saint saved
us from it all .

Very Successful Sponsored Weight Loss Project in Cullen Triumphs Again

Another wonderfully successful Sponsored Weight Loss Programme organised by Cullen & District Special Needs Association. Pictured (mainly seated) on Monday, 19th March 2012 in Cullen Community Centre, are the prizewinners awarded for their weight loss and for their very generous sponsorship. Full details of this hugely popular annual project will appear in this week's newspapers. We shall have an LTV2 Millstreet report on next week's transmission. (S.R.)
