On January 21st 2024, Paddy passed away peacefully, in the wonderful care of nurses and staff at Kanturk Community Hospital. Husband of the late Catherine and father of Marie, Caroline, Rachael and Fiona. The proudest grandfather of Ellie Jane, Réaltín, Fia, Eve, Rosalind and the late Daniel.  Predeceased by his brother Tom and nephew James.  Sadly missed by his sister Bridget, brother Jim and sister-in-law Breda, sons-in-law, nephew, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

(Denis Long’s Family lived in Minor Row, Millstreet up to the late 1940s before residing in Cork.   The location of the family Grocery Shop and Home is where Master Butcher, Tony O’Brien’s Shop is now situated.   We were greatly privileged to meet with Denis (in his 90s) when, accompanied by his son, Frank and his daughters, Anne and Margaret, he paid a visit during this Summer of 2023 to Drishane Cemetery where his father, Jeremiah, is buried.   We shall soon be sharing more very interesting information about this True Gentleman who always expressed his great love of Millstreet and Kilmacrane in the Kilcorney area.   Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.  (S.R.))

The death has occurred of Jerry Lehane, Derrinamona, Clonbanin, Co. Cork.

Jerry passed away peacefully at his home. Beloved husband of Shelley (née O’Donoghue) and dear dad of Marguerite, Julie and Pacella. Predeceased by his sisters Mary and Bina and his brother John. Jerry will be sadly missed by his sisters Joan and Sheila, grandson Tommy Jeremiah, son in law Stephen, nephews, nieces, sisters in law, brothers in law, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Kelleher (Banteer); On October 30th 2023, unexpectedly but peacefully at his home in Derry, Frankie (late of Millstreet), beloved husband of Sheila (née Sheahan) and dear father of Tony, Patsy, Trevor and Stephen and brother of the late Donal and Tony.  Deeply regretted by his loving family, grandchildren Emily, Grace, Ryan, Sophie, Rory, Jason, Megan, Amelia, Sutton and Savannah, brothers, sisters, Aunt, Uncle, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law especially Johnie sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Maura Falvey (née Duggan), Westgrove, Killarney Road, Millstreet, Co, Cork.

On October 26th 2023, at Cork University Hospital, peacefully, after a brief illness, Maura (née Duggan), beloved wife of the late Tom and dear mother of the late infant John. Daughter of the late Cornelius and Catherine (née Murphy) and sister of the late Bernie, Seán, Denis, Gussie and Collette. 
Devoted mother of Conor and Todd, sister of Noel C, Fidelis, Tim, Pat and Anne. Deeply mourned by her daughters-in-law Catherine and Mary, sisters-in-law Maureen, Bernie, Bríd, Kitty and Mary and brother-in-law Jim. Grandmother of Mark, Robert, Peter, Colm, Fionán, their wives and partners Geri, Susan, Áine and Elana and great grandmother of Jack and Lucy. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. 

Reposing in St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet, on Monday, 30th October, from 5pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday, 31st October, at 2pm followed by cremation at the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy. Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on http://www.churchservices.tv/millstreet

Predeceased by her brother John, sister Catherine, brothers-in-law Pat Sheehy and Timmy Joe O’Connor and son-in-law Rob Lewis.   Deeply mourned by her children, Desmond and Jacqueline, her grandson Finlay, daughter-in-law Heather, brother Dónal (Dublin), sisters: Margaret Sheehy (New York and Donoughmore), Eileen O’Connor (Cullen), Hannah Kelleher and brother-in-law, Andrew (Cullen).

Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet, on Saturday, October 21st, at 12:00 noon, followed by interment of ashes in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Millstreet.

Loving husband of Jacqui (née Drake), greatest dad to Emer, Máire and Sinéad. Much loved brother of Kieran, Helen, Niall and Ódran. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Anne Feely and mother-in-law Kit Drake. Loved son-in-law of Charlie Drake, brother-in-law of Jayne, Pauline, Paul, Trisha, Christopher, Kate, Mary and Cha. Missed by cousins, nieces, nephews and grand niece, wide circle of family and friends.

On September 25th 2023, Carmel passed away peacefully at home after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family.  Predeceased by her loving sisters, Kathleen and Mairéad.  Carmel will be deeply missed by her loving husband Seán, much loved mother of Paudie, Brendan and John, Kay and Maura, daughters in law Miriam, Irene and Geraldine, son in law Denis and Kay’s partner Séamus, sister Sheila and brother Eanie, sisters in law, Mary, Ann and Mary, brothers in law Bill and Pa, her beloved grandchildren, Dermot, Shane Kieran, Darragh, Gavin, Dervla, Michelle, Lauren, Ruby, Paraic and April Rose,her nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
