Cork Simon Community Cheque Presentation
Above are some photos from a recent cheque presentation to the Cork Simon Community at The Pub in Carriganima. The Pub raised the funds through a table quiz where each team nominated a charity. The winning team nominated Cork Simon Community. On behalf of Cork Simon Community, we would like to say a special thanks to all those who supported the table quiz, in particular Ned, Matthew & Joanne who were on the winning team and Sean, Matt and Declan.

More brave Boeing swimmers
For various reasons some swimmers could not attend last week’s swim
and took part in the fundraising event on Saturday 15th January 2012
in much cooler conditions than their fellow swimmers last week!
Eileen Murphy welcomed everone and Stephen Tarrant of Tarrants Bar
handed out the well deserved t-shirts!
32 swimmers participated over the two days of the swim,
well done to all!

He is quite a tough nut would you not agree
Age is a relative thing the brave Mick does not feel old

Collecting ink cartridges and old mobiles for charity
Millstreet Community School are collecting used ink cartridges (from all types of printers) and old mobile phones for charity at the school. If anybody has any of the above, they can be dropped into the Community School. All funds raised are for the cancer appeal in the Mercy Hospital.

Congratulations to PAUL KELLY from CARLOW who’s ticket was pulled out of the drum in mondello park on sat to win the MK2 Escort.
A total of Eur 19,300 was raised for Our Ladies Childrens Hospital Crumlin & The National Childrens Research Centre

Climbing Kilimanjaro for kids
Comedian Alan Shortt who grew up in Millstreet was part of a documentary on RTE last night which tracked the progress of a group of Irish people that climbed Kilimanjaro for the Climb for Kids charity, raising money for Crumlin Childrens hospital last year.
