This Easter Sunday March 31st 2024 
Sliabh Luachra Cycling Club are very proud to be hosting stage 3 of Rás Mumhan.
Riders will be rolling out from The Green Glens Arena Millstreet at 11am to complete a very tough, hard & hilly 115km race course around the beautiful Kerry/Cork country side. 
We would like to ask all spectators to keep cars parked well off the road especially on the narrow climbs, also be careful of young kids and please keep dogs on a lead 
We really appreciate everyone’s continuous support to help make this another successful event & we thank you all most kindly in advance

Scoil Mhuire, Millstreet Boys’ National School participated in Cór Fhéile na Scol on Thursday 21st March 2024. They were absolutely fantastic and hugely impressed the very large audience at Cork City Hall. Under the superb musical coordination of Siobhán very special praise and thanks to the wonderfully talented Patrick, David, Jack, Francis, Jonathan, Adrian, Fionn, Liam, Charlie, Noah and Pádraig. On St. Patrick’s Day Millstreet Pipe Band will play in the Churchyard before Millstreet Mass at 11.30a.m.
After Mass they will be going to Killarney for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade before returning for the parade in Millstreet at 4.45p.m.
The band would like to wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick’s Day.
Millstreet Gramophone Circle Presentation by Paddy Murphy, Tullig, Millstreet will take place on Friday, 15th March 2024 at 8.15pm in the Canon O’Donovan Day Centre, Clara Road, Millstreet. There will be a Kerry theme throughout Paddy’s programme on this occasion. Everyone is very welcome. 
There was a Presentation made earlier this Evening to Hollymount National School with the Proceeds following the recent the Clubs Cars@Coffee Event that took place at Hickeys Centra Shop Rathmore on February 11th last,a fantastic final figure was handed over to the School which amounted to €1740.60 the School Management said this will be very beneficial going forward to keeping the school updated and will be a big help in the development of the facility and were delighted with the support they got, Event organiser Aidan Dennehy and Millstreet Vintage Club were delighted to be associated with such a great beneficiary in Hollymount National and wished the School the very best of Luck for the future.

The Annual Johnny Hickey Memorial Spring Car Run organised by Millstreet Vintage Club will take place on today Sunday March 10th, this year the Event will be in Aid of the Running Costs of Facilities for St Johns Holy Well in Mushera near Millstreet which is a very Worthy Cause.
There is an opportunity to see some Cool Vehicles before they set out after 12 Noon today in Millstreet so why not come along to the Noel C Duggan Yard for a look.
Johnny was a founding Member and former Chairman of Millstreet Vintage Club and was a highly Respected Person both in the Club and beyond so its a pleasure for Millstreet Vintage Club to be holding the 6th Annual Johnny Hickey Memorial Car Run, the Event will be based out of the Bridge Bar Millstreet Eircode (P51 H978) with Sign on from 10.30am and Take Off at 12 Noon,and as usual all Vintage/Classic Cars,Bikes,Vehicles are very Welcome to join the Run,Draw for the Johnny Hickey Memorial Trophy and Spot Prizes to be won on the Day, for more details Call Bernard Crowley on 087 7924406,or Willie Fitzgerald on 087 2229874.
Absolutely brilliant performance by Dromtariffe Drama Group at Dromtariffe Community Hall on Friday, 8th March 2024. I attended the magnificent Play on Friday night. The outstanding acting, the superb set, the overall ambience of the venue – truly delighted the capacity audience. Here we recall by sharing the initial photographic selection the totally uplifting event. Sincere congratulations to Dromtariffe Drama Group and background Team on such a very memorable night of great entertainment with so many of the performances of Oscar standard! We thank Frank Reen for providing us with a copy of four images of Ballydaly Teams which have direct links with the late Denis Murphy, Ballydaly. These wonderful photos have been displayed in splendid frames at Ballydaly Community Hall for the past number of years. We also wish to express our thanks to David Tarrant who was the Trainer of the 1975 Team for alerting us to the historical images. This Saturday evening (2nd March 2024) the management of the traffic for the Funeral was excellent by the marvellously dedicated Stewards directing one way traffic back Clara Road to the Murphy Family home and returning by Ballydaly Church on to the main Ballydaly-Millstreet road. Special thanks also to Patrick Lynch originally from Ballydaly and a neighbour of the Murphy Family for his magnificent tribute which he shared on Facebook but which we were also permitted to share on our Millstreet website where it has been widely viewed and much praised.
