Having escaped the snow for the two weeks from the end of November to the start of December, we have finally got our fair share of it this evening (as seen in the photo above) with about 6cm falling already … and no end in sight until the morning … maybe. John Moynihan on Escorts
Introduced by “… lets meet a man who knows about Ford Escorts”, John Moynihan who runs his rallying workshop on the West End in Millstreet, appeared on a special edition of RPM Motorsport which was covering the inaugural running of the “Historic Stages Halloween Rally” which was run in Carrick-on-Suir, where stars of the 1970s and 80s competed.
The video is available on the RTE website, and John is talking from 38:45 to 43:30, and is only available until Sunday 2 January 2011.

45 Drive at the Green Glens cancelled
The 45 Drive in aid of the Millstreet Community Hospital at the Green Glens on Wednesday evening the 8th December 2010 has been cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions. The event will be rescheduled to a later date.
Millstreet Gramophone Circle Presentation Deferred
Due to present weather conditions it has been decided to defer Margaret McCarron’s presentation at Millstreet Gramophone Circle’s meeting which had been scheduled to take place in the Canon O’Donovan Centre this Friday, 10th December 2010 at 8.15 p.m.. This much anticipated presentation will take place in 2011.
