Eily’s Report – 13th December

Dia is Mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to my weekly report from Millstreet.

Shopping days are going fast and by all accounts our shops and stores are pleased with the support that they are getting from our local people.  More people than ever are coming home for Christmas, some prepared to stay as the prospects of finding work at home is on the increase. And it all helps to boost the home trade.

The Christmas scene is brightening up as more and more people are putting up their Christmas lights, especially in country areas. Many people like to drive around after dark with the children on board, to enjoy the various luminations.
