People who are perhaps familiar with the renowned PEIG’S Shop near Adrigole on the Beara Peninsula will be sad  to hear of the death of the lovely Peig last week. Peig’s shop is widely known, it being the only shop between Glengarriff and CastletownBere. A distance of almost 20miles. The spritely Peg would be one hundred years of age next March and was there to greet  the customers up to a short time ago. I know she will be sadly missed, but I know the name PEIG’S SHOP will live on in her memory.May her gentle soul rest in Peace.
