Date/Time Saturday 12th September 2015 from 1pm to 5pm
Event: Wildlife Awareness Day at Millstreet Country Park
Location: Millstreet Country Park, Millstreet, Co. Cork
Additional Information: Wildlife Awareness Day – This is a day dedicated to learning about the wonders of wildlife all around us. Expert speakers will give scheduled talks on all things wild. These include; Honey Bees and Bee Keeping, Birds of Prey(Kingdom Falconry), Otters of Cork County (Dr. Paddy Sleeman), Cork Nature Network, Millstreet Country Park’s Wildlife (Lorna O’Mahony) and much more. There will also be stands where you can talk to these experts and also volunteer groups informally. If that’s not enough, there will be a Live Bird of Prey display just outside the visitor centre all day. If we are lucky we might just see them fly! Event: Autumn Foraging Day at Millstreet Country Park
Location: Millstreet Country Park, Millstreet, Co. Cork
Additional Information: Part of the seasonal foraging series of walks and talks on foraging in Millstreet Country Park. Owner of Nibbles Food Emporium Eleanor Leahy and Ecologist Lorna O’Mahony will be holding a short 1 hour autumn foraging walk of the gardens of Millstreet Country Park followed by a cooking demonstration in the visitor centre.
