The annual Mass will be said at our Holy Tubrid Well on next Friday May 29th, starting at 7.30 .

And as the Exams will be starting on Wednesday June 3rd. Mass will be said there on Tuesday June 2nd by Fr Mulcahy as he has done for many years on the eve of the exams.

And we’d like to wish all those whole are doing their Enter and Leaving Certs this time, every success and God’s Blessing in their work.

 

Many congratulations to James Cronin, Kilmeedy and Teresa Moylan who became engaged recently.

 

Every good wish for the future to Martin Dennehy, Coomlogane, who has retired from his post with Cork County Council following 37 years of faithful service.

Following the great achievement of your young boxers, Rylane Boxing Club is hosting a “Fifty Shades of Grey”  fundraising party in the Bush Bar on Friday, 29th May at 8pm.  LADIES ONLY and Over 18’s ONLY.  Male models and a good night of fun, games and craic in store.

The Annual Pattern which was held at Cloghoula National School last Sunday was an outstanding success. They were blessed with fine weather and a capacity crowd attended. And the good news is that there is an increase in the number of children attending this lovely country school, and there’s room for more. The phone number there is 029 70432, for enquiries.

 

The Church gate collection this weekend May 30/31 in Millstreet ,Ballydaly and Cullen will be in aid of our local tv station LTV2.  Please support it well

 

And please be reminded that programs of LTV2  are available on UTube  at any time.  Feedback is coming from all parts of the world from our people who are enjoying them loud and clear, as well as  from the folks at home.

Here are the results of this weeks parish Lotto draw which was held at McCarthys Bar on Sunday Night

Numbers drawn were,7, 12, 14, 31 . and the Jackpot was not won. €100 went to Donie and Marie Casey ,Cloghoula. The seller was Joan Casey and she got €50 sellers prize. €50 went to Mick and Eimer, Dooneen.  €20 each to Ann, Nellie & Denis c/o the Credit Union. Dan and Katie, Macroom, Padraig McSweeney, Newcastlewest, Niall Flahive Drishane Rd. Ron Twomey, C/O Denis Twomey, Shane Kelleher, Dromnahilla, and Oisin Hickey, Kilmeedy.

Jackpot for next week €4,600, the draw at the Clara Inn on Bank Holiday Monday night.

 

The members of Our Tidy Towns Committee are working hard these times plants flowers and painting anything that needs painting , as well as promoting a clean and tidy Millstreet.

 

The lovely Grotto at Liscahane is not included in their work or funding. This year we miss Roger Cresswell who always planted it for us. So we’re appealing  for some funding for its upkeep. I will be glad to accept small donations. Also a fund is open at the Credit Union .

 

The Millstreet Methodist Church in Partnership with Boherbue/Kiskeam parish will hold a Worship Celebration at the Church of the Immaculate Conception Boherbue on Thursday June 4th, starting at 7.30 and all are welcome.

And please be reminded that the same group are accepting funding for the Nepal Earthquake disaster. See the notice on their window ,beside Aiden McCaul’s Hardware store.

Eucharistic Adoration in Millstreet Church every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10.30 am to 10.30 pm and in Cullen on Thursdays 10am to 7. and all are welcome to sign up for a given time every week or to just drop in for a few minutes. For details contact the Parish office 02970043.

On behalf of our Community I’d like to welcome any people who are visiting our area at the moment and hope they enjoy their stay. Our beautiful museum is open every Tuesday Wednesday and Friday, or by appointment.
