A big thank you to everyone who supported the Bake Sale in aid of the Marie Keating Foundation which took place in Millstreet Community School on Thursday 23rd October. So many students, parents and teachers baked for the event – a magnificent team effort. A wonderfully wide variety of cakes and buns were provided and thankfully everything baked was bought by 4pm! ought items, especially to members of the community who were able to call into the school in the afternoon to make a purchase and have a cup of tea. Two more words of thanks – one to the Transition Year ‘youth for justice’ group who organised the whole event and the other to Herlihy’s Centra for agreeing not to sell chocolate bars on the day in the school canteen and for donating a box of cookies to the sale. A total of €687 was raised. A fantastic achievement!
