Fondest Greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this beautiful warm sunny Tuesday morning.
Our Town has adopted what they call “the Millstreet StreetScape System”. Which means that in conjunction with Dulux Paint Company,a Colour scheme for the whole town has been drawn up. Paint being supplied at a reduced price by the makers and the scheme is sponsored by the Co. Council ,Our Community Council and the Town traders. They are asking every able-bodied member of our Community to come out and help with the painting.
A start was made last evening on the Wall of St Mary’s Cemetery on the approach road to the town. Power washing is being done ahead of the painters.
This wonderful project must be completed in 25 days.
So please answer the call for help.

Meanwhile the grounds at Drishane Castle are being manicured for the new cross country equine event that is coming in July. This is an extra item on our Showjumping calendar for this year. Making it all the morevimportant to make our town a fitting place to welcome the cream of the whole world.
At the AGM of our Community Council which was held last week the committee was re-elected en Block. Noel Buckley retained his seat for the one purpose of clearing all debts before stepping down. Denis Twomey a non member praised Noel for his wonderful achievements while on the Chair of the Community Council. Not least among them his long time ambition to provide Millstreet with an Astro Turf pitch ,which will further serve every member of our Community in the years ahead along with all the other facilities that he has put in place..
