On a recent cycle around the Glebe Route I came across a dedicated Crew taking a break from a hard day’s work saving silage. And then we met Mary Healy picking blackberries to make delicious jam. Mary very kindly (as is usual for Mary who is always so generous to everyone) treated us all to a feast of wonderful blackberries. For me it truly brought back fond childhood memories. Here we share a selection of pictures recalling the recent memorable occasion. When I returned to the same field at Dooneen yesterday – the hay had been baled and stored…and nobody there on that occasion to share another blackberry feast! Many thanks to the Healy Family and all who were present for the occasion.
