“It shows Mike in jubilant mood on the platform of Heuston Station on the Monday after a Cork hurling All-Ireland victory. As far as I know it was on the front page of one of our daily papers. I think it was the 1977 victory when Martin Doherty was captain. The little girl at the bottom of the picture is Sinéad, my wife, ” says John Egan who is married to Michael Looney’s niece, Sinéad.
