Millstreet E Enterprise Centre

Millstreet E Enterprise Centre is located right in the heart of the town at The Square, allowing easy access and plenty of free parking for clients.

This brand new COCOON facility offers a large state of the art training room and nine hot desks.

Although a small north Cork town, Millstreet has a proud tradition of enterprise which extends back to almost 300 years of trade and industry. The town is home to  Alps Electric (Ireland) Ltd., founded in Millstreet in 1988 in Mount Leader Industrial Estate, as a manufacturing base of ALPS Customers in Europe. ALPS is one of the world’s largest independent manufacturer of electromechanical components and the town’s largest employer. There are also a number of large-scale haulage contractors operating from the town including K&L Deliveries, Lucey Transport & Kelcro Transport. Of course, the town is synonymous with Millstreet International Horse Show and also for hosting the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993 at Green Glens Arena.

Duhallow’s first LEADER flagship project, Millstreet Country Park has attracted 1.5 million visitors since opening in 1995. The 200 hectare park is a showcase of how the delicate balance between nature and economic development can be achieved. The latest IRD project “The Claragh Loop Walk” has attracted hill walking enthusiasts countrywide in appreciation of the spectacular North Cork scenery.

Established in October 2010 Millstreet Development Group (MDG) aims to promote business, shopping and industry in Millstreet and surrounding areas. The overall objective is to establish a long-range growth plan with a focus on balanced development. For further information see www.millstreetdevelopment.com

From the Corkman (June 21st 2012): The Millstreet E- Centre will have 10 hot desks which can be rented daily, weekly, monthly or on a half day basis. Additionally, the centre will also have a large training/conference room facility which will be open to those who wish to book meeting space for training or other events.

The original idea stemmed from the Cork County Council Economic Development Group. According to Millstreet DG spokesperson Veronica Perdisatt, it is an ambition of the Council that these facilities will provide a supportive environment for individuals and companies to grow and generate enterprise and employment.

“Its a really nice concept, the office space is very well planned out and the interior design is very inspiring. We have got initial funding from Cork County Council and are awaiting additional funding from IRD Duhallow,” she said.

Administrator to Millstreet Development Group, Tricia Robertson hopes the E-Centre will open in September. Further details can be obtained from 087 295 3078.”
