Derinagree NS have just received the fantastic news that they have been awarded their first Green Flag for the school. This is a tremendous acheivement! A delegation has been invited to collect their well deserved flag at an Awards Ceremony in Cork on May 22nd.

Our thanks to Dromtarriffe Active Retirement Group for their valuable & expert contribution to the discussion & demonstration on Composting.
Also thanks to the following Millstreet champions for helping us with our Composting Day of Action; Joe and Tommy at SuperValu for the use of trays and containers, Nibbles for providing plenty of the ‘muck’ (green waste), and to Millstreet Tidy Towns for allowing us use their ‘Muck & Magic’ publication.

& so …. as is fitting …. & in true Derinagree style ….A Community Celebration will be held on June 12th in Derinagree NS to raise the Green Flag.
To mark the occassion The Army Band of The Southern Command will perform a free Concert in the school grounds! So if you’re free – this is one performance not to be missed! Come and celebrate with us.
