AUL 1A: Millstreet Celtic 1 Greenmount Rangers 2

We lost 2-1 at home to Greenmount this morning. They started the game much better than us but we had the first clear chance after 10 mins when Tadhg Collins rounded the keeper but his finish went the wrong side of the post. The rest of the half was pretty tame with neither side going close. The second half was much better by both sides and Greenmount took the lead after 55mins. Collins flashed a shot just over mins later and saw a header go just wide from a corner. We had to wait until the 75th min to get level. The ball broke to Barry Lawlor on the edge of the box and he struck a lovely volley to the bottom corner. We pushed for the winner and Michael Murphy went close with a long range effort before Collins forced a good save from the keeper. The Greenmount winner came with 2 mins to go and we couldn’t get the equalizer after that. Best for us on the day were Finbarr Corcoran and Michael Murphy.
