Synchronisation of Masses

The Parish Pastoral Council wish to thank each of you who expressed their preference with regard to the Vigil Masses here in the Parish of Millstreet. Based on a majority vote, the Vigil Mass in Millstreet will be at 6.30 p.m. and in Cullen at 8.00 p.m. The Sunday morning masses will be – Millstreet 8.30 a.m. – Ballydaly 9.30 a.m. – Cullen 10.30 a.m. & Millstreet 11.30 a.m.. This schedule will take effect on the first weekend of Advent, 28th / 29th November 2009. It only temporary as the masses in the parish will be rationalised and re-scheduled next summer in 2010, when the parish will be served by two priests only, and will have to be organised in such a way that one man can celebrate them when he is on his own or allowing a priest to help the surrounding parishes of the pastoral area when needed. As part of the Diocesan Pastoral Plan 2009 – 2013, Fr. Liam Comer P.P. Dromagh who is the Vicar Forane of our Pastoral Area will exchange pulpits with Fr. Declan this weekend. Fr. Liam will celebrate the Vigil Mass in Millstreet and Fr. Declan will be in Dromagh. They will exchange at the Sunday masses on the first weekend in December. We welcome Fr. David Gunn who will begin ministering in our Parish on Wednesday next ( Nov. 11th ). He will currently reside in Cullen and will move to Millstreet Presbytery next summer. We wish him a happy and fruitful ministry amongst us.
