Greyhounds: Teddy Collins’ dog ‘Last Lap’ ran away with his 525 on Thursday evening in Curraheen with a time of 29.33 by 5.5 lengths. [results – race 5] – see the video of the race below.

Congrats to Dan O’Donoghue, Lackabawn on winning the National Fantasy Coursing Competition last weekend.

Taekwon-do: Well done to Jason Murphy from the Millstreet Taekwon-do Club who won two golds at the Taekwon-do Internationals in Scotland over the weekend.

Boxing: Best of luck to Seán Óg O’Connor who boxes in the ‘Boy 4’ (Under 15) All Ireland Finals at the National Stadium in Dublin on Friday March 2nd.

  1. Last Lap. My grandfather Jim Walsh ( Toots Kelleher’s father-in-law) won The Laurels in 1960 at the old track on the western road in cork, with a dog of the same name (in a track record time of 28.15). I hope that Teddy’s dog enjoys further success. Also good to see Willie O’Leary still enjoying success.
