Richmond 3 Millstreet Celtic 4

We beat Richmond 4-3 away from home this morning to record our sixth win in a row. The first 20 mins of the game were very scrappy with both teams finding it hard to find space on a tight pitch. Richmond took the lead in the 30th min after a defensive mistake but we hit back just 5 mins later. Tim Kiely floated in a free kick which was glanced home by Tadhg Collins. Neither side was creating much but another error at the back gave Richmond the lead just before half time. We started the 2nd half in much better fashion and got the equaliser after 55 mins. Paul Dawson released Collins and he out-muscled the defender before firing high into the net. We were well into our stride now and went ahead in the 65th min. Chris Cleary played the ball down the line for Brian Murphy who beat two defenders along the end line before slotting home from a tight angle. Richmond pegged us back again in the 70th min when they scored with a header from a corner but we only had to wait a few mins to take the lead again. Murphy ran clear down the right again and his low cross was met by Collins to secure his hat trick and give us the lead again. Richmond pressed for and equalizer but the defence stood firm and we could even had added another. Best for us on the day were Tadhg Collins, Brian Murphy and Chris Cleary.
