Millstreet Active Retired group had a very enjoyable day trip to Clonakilty on 1st July.
We went to the Clonakilty Black Pudding Visitor Centre first for a guided tour and breakfast. Then for a walk around Clonakilty town before heading to the Model Railway Village for tea and scones in a beautifully refurbished railway carriage. We admired the Model Villages and then boarded the Road Train for a drive around Clonakilty town. After the train trip it was on to the Riverview shopping Centre in Bandon for some “retail therapy” And finally a tasty dinner in the Castle hotel Macroom.
Our next outing will be an Afternoon Tea Dance in the Wallis Arms hotel Millstreet on Sunday 27th September at 2.30. Music by Peter Lane.
