Duhallow West First RespondersWe are a new volunteer Community First Responder group based in Duhallow. We are tasked to emergency calls by 999 control in our communities to provide assistance prior to ambulance arrival. We respond to calls such as chest pain, stroke, choking, and cardiac arrest.
The communities we cover include Cullen, Millstreet, Ballydaly, Knocknagree, Kiskeam, Ballydesmond and the surrounding areas!
We had our assessment completed last Tuesday night October 28th by the National Ambulance Service Community Engagement Officer, Pat McCarthy. A big thank you to Pat for coming down to us! We have successfully passed our assessment which means we will soon be live in our communities. Thank you to Kiskeam Hall for allowing us to use the hall for our assessment training also!
