“Radio Treasures” from 9.10 to 11.10pm on CMS Tonight

On this Tuesday – 26th July 2022 – preceded by “Jimmy Reidy & Friends” with a wonderful programme relating to the Ballybunion area at 8pm (the repeat of which one may hear after the Maureen Henry Show on Sunday night) we invite you to also tune into “Radio Treasures” this Tuesday from 9.10 to 11.10pm on Cork Music Station.    Feel very welcome to contact the live programme by emailing corkmusicstation @gmail.com or texting 086 825 0074 – One may also WhatsApp that number.   Tonight’s programme includes lots of uplifting songs, music, musings and requests.  At 9.45pm we hear Richie Walsh and William Fitzgerald at the recent presentation of the most impressive cheque to “Bumbleance”.   A special feature also tonight includes the repeat of an Interview at 10pm with Geraldine Lynch at the Boeing on a recent Saturday as she came near completing an amazing 1,000 km walk from Antrim to Allihies in aid of Breakthrough Cancer Research.  At 10.15pm we listen to the very best of Irish Traditional Music recently recorded at “The Rock Bar”, Newmarket on the occasion of the 87th Birthday of Musician Supreme, Timmy O’Connor – this is just 12 minutes of a much longer broadcast later in the season but this 12 minute sequence includes the truly magnificent “Joyous Waltz” as played by Jackie Daly and Friends. And we chat about the following 6 pictures accessed from Millstreet Museum Pictorial Archives.  Tap on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.)
