This weekend we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord.

We share a quotation from Pope Francis.

The Ascension of Jesus to heaven makes us know this reality and is so comforting for our journey: in Christ, true God and true man, our humanity was taken to God; He has opened for us the way. He is like the head of a rope party that, when climbing a mountain, has come to the top and draws us to him leading us to God.

  1. Hello,
My name is Patty Noonan- Swanson. I am from the US. I, along with several other folks, are coming to Ireland in June. We are hoping to meet with our old parish priest, Fr. Patrick O’Byrne   Fr. O’Byrne  was a parish priest, coach and teacher to many of us when he was in the Wahoo, Nebraska ( USA) area. I have an address for Fr. but I do not know if he has an email or how to relay to him that a group is coming and would like to see him. Can you assist in any way?
Fr. O’Byrne married my husband and I 35 years ago and baptized my children. They will be on the trip as well.

    Please reach out.
    Best,
    Patty Noonan-Swanson
