“Radio Treasures” This Tuesday on CMS from 9.30 to 11.30pm

  1.  On tonight’s Show at 10.00pm we extend a special welcome to Tara and Daniel who have recently visited Millstreet from Stockholm in Sweden …. We listen to Margaret Bourke together with Tara and Daniel and we get to hear the wonderful Swedish language.  We play “Swedish Rhapsody” by Mantovani and we also feature one of Sweden’s most famous musical groups ABBA.   Our brief chat with the three Museum Guests is at 10.00 tonight on “Radio Treasures”. 
  2.  We have our usual Musings and Musical Treats.
    1. We listen to lots of happy songs and music including the great Malachy Doris Céilí Band and we hear Jimmy Shand with his famous 1955 hit “The Bluebell Polka”.  Another special treat – Scotland’s Andy Stewart’s superb musical tribute to the late Sir Harry Lauder.
    2. We reflect on Jimmy Reidy’s Archival Programmes.
    3. We chat about our Millstreet related news.
    4. We hear superb songs and music of the 1950s…and 1960s plus more!
    5. We remember our Faithful Departed.
