Gold and Bronze for Linda at the IMRO Awards

Congratulations to Linda McAuliffe and the students of the Kerry ETB Radio Broadcasting and Digital Journalism Course who came away from the IMRO Awards with a Gold in the Short Feature Category, and a Bronze in the Digital & Social Innovation Category, for their innovative feature on the sounds of Kerry, called ‘Cluas Ciarraí’.
Their series, about the sounds and soundscapes of County Kerry, was inspired by students Barry O’Donnell and Dara Ó’Cinnéide – who are both visually impaired and who successfully completed the course this year.
Millstreet was also represented by Joanne O’Riordan who was nominated for her podcast on RedFM, and Ed Smith was there also with TodayFM.

The IMRO (Irish Music Rights Organisation) Awards were held on Friday at the Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny.
