Sliabh Luachra Cycling Club weekly update

Congratulations to Denis O’Connor who won the A3/A4 Raparee road race on Saturday evening last in Dundrum Co.Tipperary to claim the Raparee Cup. Well done to the Dan Murphy, Sean Dineen John O’Sullivan and Anthony Tancred who also competed in the A3/A4 race while Richard Cleverly was in action in the A1/A2 race.
Two weeks to go to the Sliabh Luachra Youth races in Knocknagree with €1,000 prize fund. Thanks to The Big Little Bike Shop, Roca Sports, PI Cycles and Circle K Rathmore for their generous sponsorship of the races. We will be honouring 5 former members of the club who sadly are no longer with us in the day with commerative perpetual cups, namely Willie Reen, Paud O Leary, Gary O Leary, Andy Davies and John Fleming.
A large number of Club Members undertook the route of the Sliabh Luachra Cycling Club sportive on Bank Holiday Monday last. It is a slightly modified route this year and special mention to   Donie Kelleher and Anthony Tancred for the route design. Training for both Juveniles and Adults continues this week.
For residents of Gneeveguilla and Knocknagree there will be slight traffic delays on: Thursday 13th June, SLCC are hosting the second round of the Kerry County League race in Gneeveguilla- Race starts at 6:45 pm and will be finished for 8:30 pm.
On Sunday 16th June we have our Junior race in Knocknagree starting at 10: and will be finished for around 2:30 pm. Thank you for your co-operation for these events.
