Meeting Tony O’Connor at Ballyheigue in the Kingdom of Kerry

On Monday, 24th Sept. 2018 while visiting Ballyheigue in the Kingdom of Kerry Fr. Dan Cashman, S.M.A., Myra Sheehan and I just happened to meet Tony O’Connor formerly of Millstreet and now residing in Tralee while he also was taking a walk on a magnificent sunny day upon Ballyheigue Strand. We got to view Oisín Kelly’s splendid statue of Roger Casement and to experience the exquisite setting of Ballyheigue Bay.   Then we got home in time to witness the very impressive harvest moon over Millstreet.  Here we share a selection of images from the eventful and enjoyable day.  Click on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.)

  1. Good to see Fr Dan Cashman looking so well in this weeks Millstreet news. It has been long time but we haven’t forgotten his time saying mass in St Osmunds, Barnes. His sermons will always be remembered. Fr Logan is now a co-celebrant with Monsignor Canon James Cronin in the Barnes parish. Father Dan would always be welcomed in Barnes. Denis O’Sullivan.
